"My artwork collects, documents and reviews contemporary social phenomena that are related to cultural identity. Through personal experience of being absent from home I become aware of the need to record how individuals express their identities through representation. As a consequence, I primarily study difficulties of the display of complex belongings to several cultural traditions, through photographic images. (...) By using various techniques of print and non-photographic processes I want to draw parallels between the multiple possibilities of reading photos and the form in which the same image is located. (...) So far I have used photography as a catalyst in the working process in order to conceive of art publications that are accepted by the international art scene, awarded and presented at various exhibitions. As active engagement of the viewer in relation to the photographic works is an essential part of my work, and as my artistic research is closely related to the study of social space, I attempt to transform art editions into the spatial environment through multimedia installations."
