Kristina Lenard

Born 1975, she has so far exhibited on 6 solo exhibitions and has participated in a row of group shows. She was also awarded fellowships in Austria and Japan.

In her work she often uses photography as a medium, construction and duplicating reality as methods. Through the medium of photography and its main characteristics ? light and representation of reality, Kristina wishes to activate perception and test spectators of her work.

Photographs seem as being manipulated in Photoshop, but in reality they are very precisely combined mirrored installations in space, photographed in a way to prevail the audience on the conclusion that it must have been photoshopped.

The scenes of the interior are so "arranged" and directed, that they leave the impression of being unreal and "start to contaminate the reality and model it; adapt to the reality in order to deform it, exquisitely rearrange the reality in its own favour."

Another attempt of activating the perception of the viewer, but this time with the ?key? to peruse the image...
