Ana Kuzmanić

Ana Kuzmanić graduated painting at the Academy of Fine Arts, University of Zagreb. In 2009 she graduated from The University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh College of Art in the United Kingdom. Ana has been exhibiting since 2006 in Croatia and abroad. She is the co-founder and a member of the international collective Eastern Surf. She works as a docent at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Geodesy at the University of Split.

Installation, dramatic audio miniature 13'45", 2018.

'The change from the bench' contains 19 statements engraved in plates and attached to the benches in the central park of Voltino in Zagreb. The statements came from the excerpts of the interviews with residents of Voltino, where the concept of neighbourhoods was explored [...] The intervention was documented through a spontaneous reaction of random passers-by [...]

Dramatic Audio Miniature Louder! Speak louder! was created through a series of workshops at the Home for the Elderly and Infirm People Medveščak, attended by children and elderly people. The starting point of the workshop was the question What Is Memory? [...]
