Ines Krasić

Ines Krasić was born in 1969 in Mostar and graduated from the Academy of the Fine Arts in Zagreb in 1993. She is assistant teacher at the Department of Graphics of the Academy of the Fine Arts in Zagreb. Currently she works at her masters thesis at the Department of Sculpture and New Media of the Academy of the Fine Arts in Ljubljana.

Ines Krasić carried out a series of multimedia works, installations and performances, based in the experience of new generations whose lives are bound to new technologies and media in communication.

She is the winner of Dean's Award, 1993; The Salon of the Young, Zagreb, 1998; Hdemia International Award at 24th International Biennial of Graphic Arts in Lubljana and Annual Award of University Teachers Society for achievements in Art, 2001; and the Prize of the 36th Zagreb Salon, 2002.

The artist poses the problems of the relations between the private and the public, explores identities and meanings, the public mask and the private face. By her work she contributes to innovative understanding of the graphic media.
